At Shri Guru Teg Bahadar Sewa Dal, we regularly host events that not only celebrate our rich Sikh heritage but also honor the life and teachings of our namesake, Guru Teg Bahadar Ji. Our service projects aim to bring the community together in a spirit of unity, devotion, and mutual respect. Here are some of our key events:

Parkash Purab Celebration of Guru Teg Bahadar Ji

Every year, we organize the Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Teg Bahadar Ji, a revered event that allows us to remind the world of Guru Sahib Ji's supreme sacrifice. The Parkash Purab is a celebration of Guru Sahib Ji's birth and a tribute to his martyrdom, which stands as a beacon of humanity's resilience and steadfast faith. Our Sangat comes together to commemorate this day, highlighting Guru Sahib Ji's teachings and their significance in our daily lives.

Shahidi Purab Smagam of Guru Teg Bahadar Ji

In honor of the Shahidi Diwas or Martyrdom Day of Sri Guru Teg Bahadar Sahib Ji, we organize Kirtan Smagams. This event commemorates the sacrifices of Char Sahibjaade & Mata Gujari Ji and pays homage to these great martyrs. The event begins with the singing of hymns from the Guru Granth Sahib, followed by a Katha (discourse), religious and Sikh historical lectures, and the recitation of poems extolling the Guru's great martyrdom. We also host Kirtan-Darbars and Amrit Sanchar ceremonies in the Gurdwara hall.

The event culminates in Ardas and the distribution of Karah Parshad, followed by Langar, where food is served to everyone, underlining our commitment to equality and fraternity. As the night progresses, the melodious Kirtan continues, and the distribution of Langar carries on till the end of the program.

Through these service projects, we aim to celebrate our faith, honor our history, and build a community defined by unity, respect, and a shared commitment to the values taught by Guru Teg Bahadar Ji.
